Okay here is the situation went to take the boat out it statred right up no problems. I however killed it with to much throttle. Then it would not start again after repaeted attempts with one battery then another. Pulled the boat drove home and it started right up in the drive way with the fake a lake and jumping it from a car battery. Then went to the ramp again and the starter now just sounds to be "spinning". It is warm but not really hot. One more strange thing the possitive terminal on the battery is so hot it blisterd my finger. I am lost. Please help! I have a 350 5.7L Mercruiser I/O Alfa One

Sounds like a poor connection or maybe even a starter. Hot + battery cable usally means high amps draw which could be a result of a bad battery cable or even a bad battery, but a short in the starter will heat up a cable also, Make sure you have a good battery have it load checked, verify that all battery cables are good last but not least pull starter, take off end cap see if there is rust and crud inside,if so take apart clean install new brushes re-assemble install back in boat should be good to go.
