starter mercury 50 hp

I have a good starter but the top bushing is worn
where can I find the bronze bushing for the top plate drive end (its #3 in the pic), for a mercury starter - 50-73521?

You might try any auto electric shop (automotive starter/alternator rebuilder) in your location. Look in the yellow pages. Depending on how it's built, it may not be replacable without damaging the plate.

thats a good idea - its a press fit flange bushing

found oilite bushing close to the size from Mcmaster Carr
20mm od x 16mm id - getting id turned to 17.5 mm to match shaft size at my work
