starter part number ?

can some one tell me the part number for the starter motor on a 55 model Johnson 25 hp RDE-17 ?
I have the parts catalog for the rd-17...… but that doesn't have a starter

My ancient huge starter quit suddenly---- in case I cant repair it--- I can search for a modern sub.'
I think I should be able to repair anything but bad windings...….

I couldn't find anything on the OMC 1955 25hp... BUT... in the Gale, Royal, Sea Bee, Brooklure, & Sea King series of which I always considered a OMC test bed for their engines, the 1956 25hp engine shows their electric starter assembly, which looks identical to me when compared with the 1955 model as I remember it.... as being part number 376580. Hope that helps you in some manner.

RDE-17 parts book shows 277311 for the original 6V starter.

1955 Gale 22DE10 parts book also shows 277311 as the complete starter motor.
