Tried starting the boat the other day after it sat for 2 years. Could hear the starter clunk...clunk like the motor was seized, not click like a low battery so I poured some marvel mystery oil in the cylinders and let it sit for a couple days.
Went out yesterday and tried it again and instead of the clunk it sounded like the starter was spinning(groaning) but nothing was turning. Does it sound like the starter solonoid or have I possibly snapped the gear off the starter?
Haven't tried manually turning the engine yet or pulled the starter.
