Starter Recoil needed for old Johnson Seahorse

I need a starter recoil including top plate for my 3hp 1957 Johnson Seahorse. Anybody out there with information or a specific location I can find one I would really appreciate it.<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />--Starticus

Lots of those little JW-series johnson 3s out there. They built them with minimal changes from about 1954 to 1968. 1956 and later use the same recoil as yours. Try your local boat yards and maybe slip the mech a sixer of his favorite brew or pop and see if he'll let you poke around the graveyard... You might also luck out on eBay.<br />- Scott
