starter solonoid ????

ok , i have a 50 hp 1985 johnson & have gone through 3 starter solonoids now ??????WTF??? i know its a do not leanin on it more than 30 sec. but i dont do more than 10 sec. ???????? what would cause a solonoid to go like that ?????

is it getting hot? could be dirty connections, remove all connections, battery to starter, and clean them. also could be worn out battery cables.

In what way are the solenoids failing.

Coil burning out or main contacts burning.

Where are you buying your solenoids from?

Not the Auto Parts store I hope.
