I have a 150hp Evin. Spitfire and when the ign. key is turned the starter will spin like a champ, but the engine is not turning with it. Its as if it is not engageing the flywheel. Also when the key is pressed in, I no longer hear the elec-choke activate. All there is, is a whinning of the starter spinning when the key its turned...

Sounds like the battery voltage is low or has bad connections.

If the voltage is low enough the starter will not spin the bendix fast enough to engage in the flywheel and it will just spin.

its possible the bendix is stuck but i doubt it.
low voltage may prevent the choke primer to not pull in also.

The chances are that your battery is not fully charged or it's just bad. Check all your battery conections for corrosion. Even loosten them all and clean and tighten them.

60 grit sand paper to the the cable terminal ends, and a new battery and she cranks like a champ.
Thank you all very much AGAIN for the insight...
