Starter

[88Sunbird4.3L]

I am completely overhauling my 88 4.3l omc cobra. Installed a new starter, trying to figure out what wires go where on the starter selinoid. I have four posts, two large lugs on the top and bottom 2 small lugs on the left and right. Thanks

Take a look in the maintenance manual you're using.
Then get one.

On the big posts connect one side to the battery and the other to the starter. It doesn't matter which and are usually large red wires. On the small posts, one side goes to ground (normally black wire) and the other goes to the start position on the switch (standard is Yellow with Red stripe).
