Can you post the original part number on your starter. Should be stamped on there.. There should be 2 different ones it could be.<br /><br />I believe it's number 2003EN on this site:<br /><br /> web page

If the starter number (imprinted on the field casing) is MGL-4008, I have one new Prestolite starter left in stock. This is the original type prestolite starter with vertical splines on the shaft and does not include the starter drive (bendix) assembly. The drive assembly is usually transfered from the old starter to the new one.
