Hi all,
Out on the lake for a week and about half way thru, the starter wouldn't turn over. Trying it a 2nd or 3rd time would usually do the trick. When it doesn't work, I notice that the volt meter goes all the way to 0 while the key is in start position. No click is heard. I pulled the starter and checked the solenoid a few times by putting 12 volts to the post, it worked every time. I'm thinking that it's starting to go. Is there a way to test it other than what I did? What else should I look for. My batteries are new this year and I've ensured they are connected well/tight - no corrosion.
