Hey All!
I was refered to this forum by a fellow boater, he thought someone here might be able to help me. I have a 1965 Evinrude 90 Model #90583 C, Serial # E04184. My problem is as follows: In simple terms, it won't start. I have current all the way to the coil but nothing out of said coil. Now basic mechanics would tell you that the coil is bad. I replaced it and still have the same problem. I'm thinking that it needs a new points and condenser set but don't think this will solve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

Bad points and condenser will certainly keep the coil from firing.

The points are a key "ingredient" in making the coil fire. Check, clean, or replace them.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I still haven't had a chance to check what you mentioned (somehow work gets in the way). But I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.
