I am painting my aluminum fishing boat tomorrow,or I should say I am starting the prep. We are taking the boat off the trailer cuz I am going to redo the trailer and paint that up as well. My father in law did his boat a few years ago and slid his onto some tires for painting. That worked fine because the bottom of his is naked aluminum, no paint. He only had to paint from the outer rib up to the top. My boat is primarily white and the whole thing is painted. It is too big to flip over so don't recommend that, its not an option. I need advice on what the best thing is to set it on. Also how the heck do you paint the bottom when it is sitting on something? Do I just paint what I can, let it dry, and then move the blocks and paint what was covered? I figured I would get the bottom done first however I have to do it. Then I will move to the sides and blend that into the bottom as far as I can. Then I have to paint the colored stripe on. I need quick advice!! Our plans aren't thought out completely yet!
