hello to all again. it has been awhile.

motor is a 98 johnson 225 oceanrunner. i mix my own oil. i would run it for a hour or two. then when i shut down and then start up about 20 mins later. it will be hard to start and then bog down when i go into gear.

i do notice that it is about 5000 rpm when i put it in gear.

to get me out of this situation. i would start it and then rev it up in neutral and let it do it for a few secs. then when it would go back to normal operation.

what can it b?]]\\\

i got water pressure gauge and it show good. but i do not see much shot our of tattle tale?

is my idle low? i might be mixing too rich. could this be a factor or can it be a fould plug?

my fuel is clean too. and i got all spark.

What mixture are you using? If you suspect the plugs are bad, remove them and check them. Yes, the wrong fuel/oil mixture can affect peformance. So can carbs that need rebuilding.
