I have twin 2004 225DIs Ev's. I turn the key to energize the fuel circulation pump for 10 seconds and then fire it up and both engines start and run on the first shot in any temperature(Usually). My buddy has twin 135 DI's 2003 and his engines always start on the first try in any temperature after energizing the circulation pump for 10 seconds. Here's the problem child now: another friend of mine has 2005 twin 135DIs and is having a hard time starting both engines in any temperature colder than around 50 degrees. Its both engines. Spark plugs have been changed and are indexed properly, He's tried manually priming the fuel bulb before starting and this doesn't help. It took me 6 to 8 times on each engine to start his the other day. Once the engine is warmed up it starts right upon as long as it is still warm. It will also stall sometimes when it does start in the cold, usually after around running for about 5 seconds. Mechanic says they started right up for him when he turned the keys. I have witnessed this numerous times and know there is a problem here. I have had problems with both computers on my engines regarding fuel(Stalling) that needed to be corrected by a tech rep and another friend of ours has a 2005 225etec and has had problems with his computer (Engine stalling)that had to be corrected by a tech. Any idea what could be giving the engine a hard time starting in the cold????? dave
