Re: starting problems

nope, you sure your have a good starter, or no, maybe the brushes are worn and tired, how long is your cable run and what size cables do you have

Re: starting problems

it originally had 6 guage cables and i opted to go with 4 guage. the starter i dismantled to check brushes and they looked to be in new condition(very clean as though just rebuilt) i purchased this boat motor and trailer for a song and dance. as stated before, i started it with plug out of #1 cylinder and then again with the new battery(800cc amps) and a battery charger with a 200 amp starting boost. spun the motor real good and started easily.
