How so? The link gives the unrestricted trailer regs in NC, not the over-size restrictions that caused all the consternation a few years ago ...![]()
Just checked with dot/dmv in NC. Brakes are required on trailers OVER 4000 lbs...exception is 1000lb for house/travel trailers only. I guess that explains why I seldom see brakes on trailers around here. With the exception of a horse trailer and car hauler I have never owned a trailer with brakes...but I have never exceeded the state rule of 4000lbs.
So is this just trailer weight of 4000lb or trailer with boat?
