Is it possible for a shorted stator coil to cause a power pack failure ??<br />When I tested the stator on my 9.9 hp 4 stroke I found that one of the coils in the stator was shorted to ground but was still producing a normal voltage. I replaced the stator and I still not getting a voltage from the output of the power pack. I removed the kill wire to make sure that wasn't causing the problem..
