I am looking for a stator for an Evinrude 115hp 1994 MODEL E115TLERC The part number that comes up in my parts manual is a 583536. I found a stator on Ebay that Physically looks the same as mine however the part number is 583537. . Will it work? What is the difference? The seller says it will. I just want to be sure.

Thanks

Re: Stator Part Number Question

583537 comes up as the 9 amp stator coil for 1988 150 and 175 models.

763767 comes up as an alternative for 583536

Caution called for I think

Re: Stator Part Number Question

The 583537will not work as it has 2 charge coil leads and yours only has 1, the amp ends are likely different also. I would not buy a used stator unless seller offered a warranty as it could be bad also. Go ahead and buy a CDI unit as of last year all BRP electronic and replacement parts are made by CDI for BRP. If you buy thru A BRP dealer you will pay more.
