Had a friend that was convinced that I was having stator issues. So we replaced my 10 amp for a 6 amp that came off of a ?87 E 88. Ran fine until I got back to the dock and the boat died and would not start back. I ran the test and found the stator is no longer any count. What else could I have screwed up by putting the 6 amp stator on? Can I put a 10 amp on without issues? Is there anything else I should check?
