stator rectifier question

I have a 82 Johnson 25 hp. J25RCNB. Someone has put on a starter. My question, can I just order a rectifier in order to charge my battery or do I need a different stator?
Reason I ask is bc the internals of the pull start are missing and I don't wanna be stuck on the water.

It looks to me like you are going to have change the stator as well as install a rectifier. Take a look and see what you think, #26.
