Stator-Timer Base Or Both

Ok my 1990 evinrude 90 has me at my wits end. It has weak spark lack of power and misses under hard accel. I have both timer base and stator in my shopping cart now because i cant wait 3 weeks for a shop to get me in. buy it or wait for shop to charge crazy amount? at this point i dont care just need my baby to run good again

Did you check your coils to see if the problem stays where it is or moves with the coil????

Stator and base are not cheap... coils are 20 bucks each...

I used the inductive timing light with tach while getting on plane and at WOT all 4 coils seemed to be identical in sense the flashes werent very bright and none were aparently dropping. I no there not cheap but thats what impatience buys. story of my life

Hate to see you spend 500 bucks on something that may not even be an ignition problem. A lack of power under acceleration could also be fuel related.
