I have a 175 Sport jet ,with stator gone south, want to replace it with the new red one . But can't seem to find one Merc. dealer says my part #398-9873-A36 has been replaced by #398-9873-A39 but doesn't know what colour it is . Also price is $273 "oh my"where to go LOL.

Sorry the serial #is OE325171 it is a 175hp 1998 Searay Sportjet

Don't forget to check eBay; I bought a new in the package stator from eBay last year for $85​

I'm in Ontario also Rowboat, Rapair CDI has few Toronto distributors. My experience, email them the US link Rick gave you-ask them how much in Canada from them. I've gotten roughly same price after exchange.....and been quoted same price as merc oem part (double)....once quoted that is the price.

If you do order from US specify US Postal Service for delivery-UPS tacks on an expensive 'brokerage fee' on top of duties.

Thanks Zamboni I contacted Boatfix sounds good , I will post results gd. or bad.. Do you have a contact # for Toronto distributors {for next time} LOL.
