STD or REV Rotation

I have an 89 Sea Ray with a 260 Mercruiser and an Alpha I Gen 1 Drive. The boat is on the hard 100 miles away. I need to order an engine and never thought to check the rotation. What are the chances that it is a reverse rotation? And for future knowledge, why are some reverse

Chances are you have the standard rotation engine/outdrive. reverse rotation drives are used on boats that have two engines. The counter rotating drive reduces the steering torque, making the boat easier to steer.8)

Little or None............Unless you have Twins,......And even then it's Doubtful.....
