Hi I was wondering if my steering cable should connect directly to the steering arm on the engine...or should there be sum sort of linkage to connect it...I do have a rack steering and transom mount...it just seems odd that the engine will turn all the way to 1 side cable fully extended but not fully on the retract side ..any pics on how steering should be mounted or advise would be great thanx

That motor doesn't have tilt tube so the cable attaches directly to the motor. There should be a bracket attached to the transom that holds the cable. The cable is clamped in the bracket and should be adjusted to provide equal turning in each direction.

Thank I do have that set up ...is it normal for the mother to only turn a little bit when the cable or arm is fully extended to turn right and engine to turn full when turning left .

No it should turn equal in both directions. Did the rack come with the motor or has there been an upgrade.
