Steering adjustment

Hey guys I just boat this old fibreglass boat and it has a 78 Chrysler 115hp motor. My problem is my boat will turn very sharp to the right and barely any to the left. When i centre the motor I get about 2 1/2 turns of the wheel one way and 1 1/2 turns the other. How to I fix it so I can balance out my steering?

I would disconnect the cable from the motor, center the wheel in turns and then see what you need to do to adjust the side connection to reconnect the motor
