I just removed the steering cable to my 17.5ft bayliner. It has the rack and pinion steering system, I got the cable out fine but I cant seem to figure out how to remove the brass pivot square piece?? also I need to replace the cable, I phoned around and one boat shop said they can order the teleflex cable, but another major boat supplier in my area told me to call a shop here that makes cable, would anyone recomend this or should i stick to teleflex.
