Steering Cable Replacement Numbers

Hi Everyone. I have a 1991 Misty Harbor pontoon w/ Evinrude 150. The steering cable is due for replacement. The numbers on it are "Morse 304411-180 in" and "4902-2". Looking around on the Internet I'm not finding too much information on this cable. I would guess that it is original and any cable made now has different number system. What I'd like to find out is if the Teleflex QC II series is the same as what I have on my boat. Anyone have an idea on this?

Thanks for any help!

Ayuh,..... My Guess is,.. It's 180" long.....

Morse has been bought out by Teliflex,....

Take note of the Type of Helm you have,+ then replace the Whole Thing.....
A Complete Helm,+ Cable is only a couple of dollars more than Just the cable.....

Re: Steering Cable Replacement Numbers

I emailed Teleflex support and asked what the proper replacement unit would be and they said it would be the SSC5215 cable. I've got a number of things to do to the party barge so I'll add this item to the shopping list. Now to start work on some "fun" things like a non-working trim gauge.
