Steering cable ?

I have to replace my steering cable on my Chieftain. Any suggestions on a good one and The ones I see don't have a screw on fitting that goes to the steering wheel like the oem one? They have a crimped end and a screw on at the motor end. Whats up with this?? Thanks

Yes for the above. Motor O/B or Inboard. ????

Looks like a merc OB motor in the picture.
Buddy replace his last year and he got a cable and a wheel in a kit.
The price was just a small amount more then just a cable.
Check this site (iboats) for details.

Thanks for the advise I was hoping to keep the original Bezel and steering wheel. The oem cable has a screw on fitting to the Bezel and the replacement cables don't seem to have this fitting??? I think I'll be forced to buy the whole kit and hope to keep the original starcraft steering wheel, Thanks, Donnie Oh and yes it is an out board motor, 60 mercury big foot. 13 foot cable
