Steering cable

good evening to everyone, today i have a new question for you guys if you can help me

i have seary 21 with mercruiser 4.3
originally the steering was equipped with a steering unit like ultraflex ( t86) with 13' cable (rail model)

now cable got stuck and i'm looking for replace it, but it seems that this cable are sold with all the steering rail.

my questions is for my boat shell i go for a new rail as it was, ( so new T86 with TM86 cable) or i can install also normal steering unit like this



wich one is better? pro and cons?

go with a complete new rack and cable assembly.

teleflex sold their cable line about a decade ago, and the design changed.

the rack is better than the rotary helm IMHO

yes it could be teleflex.
normal steering is not ok? now i just sow that i post in wrong place ( this is why i was not able to find any thread about it) now i sow that there is a section for this and i'm trying to find out details also from old post

but what is the tread that goes on mercruiser alpha one hydroulic system?
i sow ultraflex TM86
and uflex M86
but i don't know if they are same and if both fit to mercruiser
