I have a friend that owns a 94 Stratos with a 175 hp Johnson on the back. His steering is extrememly stiff, to the point of being scary. I aske dhim why he doesn't jsut lubricate it, and he said nothing would fit the niple on that line.

Does this year boat need a special adapter to lube the sterring cable? Or does he need to replace the cable?

Re: steering cable

He needs to disconnect the motor from the cable to verify that it's the Cable,+ Not the swivel tube on the outboard...........

If it Is the cable,........ Replace it....... For a "Marine" part, they're Cheap......
