Steering connection options please

I have an old 1971 evinrude 125 that is to go on my project boat of slightly fresher vintage.<br /> With all the steering options around these days which one works best at the motor (no tilt tube)?.<br /> Motor is mounted on a pod and will be a cable No Feedback System. thanks for any help. even.
