I have a 73 40hp johnson that i would like to put on a 82 sea nymph. The boat has a rack type system with a single cable, is their a kit to connect this to the motor? The motor looks like it may have used pulleys before.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this will work better in General Outboard.

Yes, you can use it. The cable requires a new bracket that mounts to the transom to anchor the cable. The moving end of the cable then attaches to the motor on the handle in front. Might be able to get all the parts at your local Johnrude dealer...
- Scott
