steering cable froze inside tilt tube, I finally got it out. Total rust binding it, I need some way to keep it from seizing, I use the boat in salt water a lot, I'm wanting to put Anti Seize on it when I assemble it, but I would rather have a grease fitting on it someway, the tilt tube has a zerk for the pivot points, but that doesn't provide any lube to the steering cable where it slides through the tilt tube, I thought about removing the zerk from it and drilling that hole all the way into the shift tube so greases can get in there, I don't know for sure what is right for this, please help!

Did some looking on google and found another iboat forum (a very ancient one) that mentioned a cable buddy steering lube system, I think I will try that, I will let you all know how it turns out, it may take a long time for results

My best advice, replace your steering cable, look at You Tube videos for installation tips. You should be able to get the correct length from your old cable, printed on cable, not too hard of a job. I would suggest going to No Feedback steering. Looking at less than 300bucks. Friend had his cable break at speed, Not Good.
