Steering help.

Hi guys,
I have a 10ft cougar cub catamaran and im trying to work out a steering system for it. It has a steering cable with a spring end which i am replacing but the engine i am fitting it to has no tilt tube. The transom area is small so i dont think a splashwell would fit. I am unsure where to go! Please see the pictures.

where to mount it though.....I have no idea. You don't have much space to work with there.

Its a tricky one, i was thinking of drilling out another hole and putting a gromet in?
