Motor = 1968 Johnson 100HP, M/N=V4TL-14B
The steering linkage never came with the engine. I bought a transom clamp and a steering tube to secure the steering cable to the boat. I have the cable directly connected to the engine with a bolt. I still think I'm missing linkage because in order to hook up the steering the engine has to be down. So every time I retrieve the boat, I have to disconnect the engine from steering cable before I can lift the engine up. PITA.
The online guides and my manual don't go into steering components. Does anyone have any ideas? What parts am I missing? Any good websites out there show the parts I need?
