I recently bought an aftermarket tilt/trim for my bass tracker tx-17. After I put it on I founk the steering was too short. Is there a part I can buy or will I be forced to make something? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

Re: steering linkage too short

I ran into a problem with a cable too short when I was retrofiiting my old boat. Had it all setup, went to move my motor back to the mounting place and the cable was 6" short of screwing in.
I tried to think of something to do instead of buying a foot longer cable but after some experimenting, it seems like you loose the 100% range if its not the correct setup.
