Re: steering questions

Maybe some penetrating oil like Liquid Wrench, and some grease in the zerk fittings to loosen up the motor pivot bearings. Regarding the prop, maybe just buy a new one and keep the old one for a spare. You could probaly get a new one for that motor for $50 or less. Good Luck!

Re: steering questions

If your motor has a steering friction adjustment, it may be too tight.

does not have adjustment. light heat from propane torch, on swivel tube and work it, back and forth, then force grease thru it.

Re: steering questions

Sure it has a friction adjustment.

When you get done with all the "easy" cures, you will have to disassemble it and clean the corrosion out from around the upper pivot liner. Happens all the time in salt water.
