Hi,
I recently bought an old boat as a project, it has a teleflex steering system ( partly ) installed but it has not been connected up to the outboard. What I would like to know is can the end of the steering cable/rod be connected directly to the outboard? Are there any minimum requirements in the U.K that say It must have some kind of linkage or steering idler, The reason I ask is because the boat may have to have a safety inspection at some point in the future and im not sure about what regulations the steering system must meet.
Any help would be very much appreciated,
Thanks,
James
