Steering too easy to turn

Yes, this is a weird topic. Teleflex steering on a 112hp Evinrude outboard. My steering seems to be too easy to turn (too easy! is there such a thing?), but, because of that, the boat pulls really hard to the right, even when I adjust the little skeg thingy above the prop. Any thoughts?

I thought of maybe greasing it with too much grease or something, but I don't want to do anything to it that might sabotage it in the long run. (don't want to do anything that will hurt its longevity)

Would you say it's easy to steer when your not moving, but on plane it's hard to hold onto the wheel because it pulls to the right?

yes.. i would say that.. not terribly hard to hold, but you noticibly have to hold it to keep it from turning right.

That's torque steer, and if adjusting the anode tab or trim of the motor can reduce it, but it will not go away. Don't know if yours has an adjustment on the motor to tighten it down (adding friction). Only other way to relieve it is to replace the steering with one of the No Feed Back Helm systems.
