I have a 2001 Bayline Capri 160. When running in a straight line, the steering wheel is off center by about 45degrees. How do I adjust to center it, it is done from the connection points on the outboard or from the steering rack itself? Thanks (Searched site for other postings related to this but could not find any.)

In my case, you just adjust the wheel itself.

Who ever installed the steering kit did not read the instructions properly. When you install the link cable into the bezel, you need to have the steering wheel set off centre (about 45deg) in order for it to be straight when the cable is fed all the way through.

To just pull off wheel and move to center is a little tough. Make sure that the motor turns BOTH ways the same amount, then it is easy just pull the wheel (may need a wheel puller) and install where you want it. Make sure motor is stright when you put it back on. More if you need it, let me know.
