Steering Wheel centering

Has anyone tried to center their steering wheel? Mine is off by 90 degrees. I wouldn't care so much but the steering wheel has molded contours for your hands. So driving with it crooked is awkward. I tried taking the nut off the centre of the wheel, but that thing is on their real good. Need a puller to get it off. Not sure if this is the best way to do it. Is there anything in the back of the steering mechanism that I could adjust?

thanks

Re: Steering Wheel centering

I did some digging on the Teleflex website. There are some online manuals on how to adjust and install the steering cables into the helm so that the steering wheel is straight. Now comes the question....will I be able to actually reach the back of the mechanism. There's only that small access panel at the bottom of the console. I should have left this can of worms for fishing!!!!
