Hi guys, first boat, first post. I've got a 1986 1810 trophy fish/ski with what I can assume is a factory setup of the throttle arm assembly and Dino steering wheel. In the pic attached, you can see that the two are too close together and it's not easy steering when the throttle arm is forward of the neutral position. Sorry it's so small. Not sure how to enlarge...The throttle arm is mounted to a foam cushioned panel that sticks out about 3/4" from the wall it's mounted on.
Was this standard or did the previous owner make a change to cause the interference?
I'm guessing I can take it off that panel and make a new thinner panel to get back most of the 3/4" and have a little more clearance, but that still sucks...
What are some options you guys could suggest?
Off topic, this forum is soooo helpful. I've already found the solution to my overheat alarm. I'll be replacing the water pump and impeller soon...While I'm waiting for parts, I'll see what else I can get done with your help.
