Steering Wheel orientation

Hello all,

I had our new to us 2005 Fisher 240 freedom out on the river this past weekend.

I noticed when going straight, the steering wheel is upside down. I also noticed pics of a similar boat for sale that appeared to be the same way.

Is this normal? I have not noticed that it will turn shorter one way or the other? Is there a simple fix for this or should I just ignore it and enjoy?

TIA,
Don

Re: Steering Wheel orientation

Hey Don, does it have a standard splined shaft column? If it does, I don't know why it would make a difference if you 180'd it.

Actually I dont know? We were out on the boat this weekend but I did not take time to check it out.

Any one else know more about this?

You should have no problem removing it and rotating it 180 like was mentioned.
