Re: steering

Disconnect the motor sterring link from the cable ram; does motor swivel freely? If yes then the problem is in either the ram in the tube, a frozen cable or frozen steering head a the syeering wheel. With the ram disconnected loosen the nut on the starboard side of the tube then put a pair of channel lock pliers on the end of the ram and see if it will rotate in the tube any. If you have room on transom you will need to drive the ram out the tube with a hammer and then a metal drift to get all the way out. You can spray carb cleaner up the tube to help loosen the dried grease. You need to clean the tube out and scrub the ram clean before you grease and reassemble. If its not the ram and tube you'll need to track down whether its the cable or the steering head.
Good luck!
