Seeking advice ! I have a 1978 Ivader outboard with a steering cable getting hard to steer Is it best to replace cable or can it be lubricated ? motor turns good without cable mounted! BOAT SAFE!!

Complete Replacement Helm/ Cable assembleies can be bought for a Very Reasonable price.....<br />It's Much simpler,+ Safer to replace the Whole Thing.....<br />By the time they get to the point yours is at, Grease is Only a Short Term Band-aid.....
