Hi, I want to install a little more powerful stereo into my boat :D . I was wondering what size battery will work. So far my plan is a Stereo with a 3 or so channel 5-700 watt amp.

How long would a group 29 battery last?

or would a group 31 be better?

or 2 group 29's??

I am on a very limited budget (1st baby due in may  ) so I cant just buy 3 group 31 batteries and 3 1000 watt amps or the admiral would kill me (something about diapers......)

Thanks for the help

That's what I've updated too. I had 27s.
Still snow on the ground so I haven't had time to play yet......

I have been running the SRM-29s' for the past 5 years and have been very impressed with them. I hear ya about the snow!! Getting a bit sick of winter. I am lucky though in that I am able to strike a deal with my wife...As long as I start and clean off her car every morning, I can keep the boat in the nice heated garage. Since I don't work in the winter I get to tinker around on the boat all winter. Which usually means I'm pounding the stereo. :)

Lucky..... Mine won't fit in the driveway. My driveway is 8' wide and the trailer is 8 1/2'..... I have to go stand in the snow at the marina......
