When I turn the tunes up the sound cuts in and out. I can see my amp gauge needle bounce around for split seconds like when the bass hits. Thinking i'm drawing to many amps and alternator is not big enough. Audio is a pioneer deck with a 4 channel exile amp. Motor is a 4.3 Volvo GXI with stock alternator. Thank for any help

I have actually had a bad speaker cause the same effect. When playing at a lower volume, worked good, but as soon as the volume was cranked it, it cut out the audio.
when I replaced the speakers, it worked great.
when one of the speakers wwas being driven at a loud volume, it would short out.

Lilkeky amp not big enough. Most will drop out at overcurrent rather than destroying them self.

Any fuses on the speaker wires?

More than likely an undervoltage condition at your amp when it is drawing a large amount of current. How is it wired?
