Hey guys,
Thanks in advance for your help. I have a 2001 sea ray 180 that I have been meaning to replace the stock stereo. Bare with me since I really have never done this before. I did manage to replace my bilge blower though. Any way, I purchased a single din unit (dual AMB600W head unit) to replace the old clarion unit.
So the old unit was attached to the fiberglass with a plastic mounting setup that has four bolts with nuts to tighten and a brace that attaches the back of the old unit to the fiberglass via a screw. The issue that I have is that the plastic brace was created for the old unit so that the head unit which goes through the cut out is separate from the dials. The dials sit below the head unit and is attached to the unit by a harness. I took pictures so you can see below. The hole in the fiberglass is bigger then the new head unit. I need some sort of installation kit that I can cut out because as you can see the bolting pattern is way large.
Anyone have any ideas or specific installation kit that I can use? The new head unit slides into a metal sleeve that clicks in place.
