Stern Drive Removal Question

Original problem was with the dribble lube valve was leaking, ok this is what we have so far I removed the stern drive (needs mayor clean up back there but not so bad) I notice that on the bottom of the bellows there was this milky grease, the gimbal bearing is in excellent condition does this mean that I have to replace the bellows inspected the bellow and it seems it has no cracks can water get thru the front ring were the bellow is held. the knocker on the stern drive has a little bit of rust is it safe to say if I have all this apart just replace the bellows the boat is a 2000 bayliner with an alpha 1 drive

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... If the bellows are original, they're well past the end of their expected service life,....

How much water did ya find,..??
If very little, it could be purged grease from the bearing, 'n condensation,....

Btw,.... Yer drive is the Gen.II Alpha,....
