stick steering to console steering???

i found an old boat that i want to get to restore. it has a 90 hp mercury on it that is a stick steer in the front. but i want to build a console for it and put fishing decks on it. can i remove all the stick steering and put a console on it?

Lotta work, but sure, you can do whatever you want to it.

In my opinion, 90HP is about twice as much power as I would want in a stick steer boat.

yea thats what i was thinking. but i talked to the owner and i dont think hes gona leave the motor on but he said i could have the hull.
